Successfully addressing the problems that plague the people and wildlife of Uganda requires the action of many organizations and individuals. We acknowledge, with the links below, a number of organizations we have worked with in serving the orphans and vulnerable children of Mustard Seed Academy, and addressing the serious causes of poverty and environmental degradation in Uganda.

National Organic Agriculture Movement of Uganda (NOGAMU)

Information: NOGAMU is a membership organization which unites farmers, producers, exporters and other stake holders in the promotion of organic agriculture in Uganda. The organization represents over 35,000 farmers and works with partner organizations throughout the country. TOLM employees have received training and we have purchased material from NOGAMU.

Information: UCOTA exists to help poor communities improve their lives through the sale of handicrafts and the provision of accommodation, guiding and cultural performances. Mission: To spearhead sustainable community-based tourism through capacity building, marketing, networking, advocacy and enterprise development in collaboration with stakeholders. UCOTA aims at increasing community benefits, quality standards, ownership and conservation of natural and cultural resources for better livelihoods of their members.

Eagles Wings Childrens Village (EWCV).....

Information: This is an orphanage outside of Lukaya town that serves orphans whom they adopt, and also educate poor children from the surrounding community. It is run by a Canadian couple who have made their home in Uganda. Real Partners Uganda serves as the American non-profit base for EWCV in receiving and crediting US tax free donations. Mission Statement: To bring Jesus Christ, care, love, protection and the provision of basic necessities to the lone, orphaned child. EWCV has over 70 acres in Lukaya on which it is building a community complete with school and clinic.

Information: Hope Destitute Children's Centre (HDCC) is a charitable organization inLukaya, Uganda. It is devoted to the emancipation and empowerment of destitute young people and children. The organization runs a Children and Youth Rehabilitation Project in Lukaya including vocational education at Lukaya Polytechnic Institute. It was started by a Ugandan visionary and has benefited from both Peace Corps Volunteers and long term volunteers from the US, Briton, and Japan. Initial funding is by a British charity. Real Partners Uganda serves as the American non-profit base for HDCC in receiving and crediting US tax free donations. |
